Updating Firmware using CLI

usually we update canopy firmware through CNUT gui and in this tutorial we will update the firmware using the command line interface. it's the same upgrading process like CNUT but without the GUI, we will use the batch file (updatedevice.bat) located at canopy\network updater\cli.

Syntax:

updatedevice -ipaddress:<IPAddress> -user:<userid> -password:<password> -snmpcommunity:<snmpcommunity> -package:<packagepath> [-autoupdateip:<autoupdateip]

we will omit autoupdate arguments for this example.

Open cmd prompt then "cd" to the cli directory

C:\>cd Canopy\NetworkUpdater\cli

then

updatedevice -ipaddress:169.254.1.1 -user:username -password:password -snmpcommunity:Canopy -package:C:\CANOPY90BUILDOFFICIAL_DES.pkg3
